Job summary

ShipMonk is seeking a detailed Facilities Technician to ensure safe and efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose problems, and execute repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity across conveyors, forklifts, and packaging equipment.

You will collaborate with operations, document activities, source parts, and assist in installing new equipment while following safety protocols and training staff on best practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years in a maintenance role in a warehouse/industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and industrial equipment.
• Ability to diagnose malfunctions and use diagnostic tools effectively.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS is a plus.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Commitment to safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, forklifts, packaging machines and related systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Source and procure parts and supplies to maintain inventory levels.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment following safety guidelines.
• Provide training to warehouse staff on safe operation and maintenance practices.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance and manage work orders.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
