Job summary

Vermont Gas is seeking a Warehouse & Facilities Associate for its South Burlington, VT location. The role supports efficient warehouse operations, receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory, and delivering parts to installers in the field.

You will prepare equipment for installations and perform routine facilities maintenance to keep a safe, clean stockroom. Candidates with forklift certification or the ability to obtain it, along with basic computer skills, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Be forklift certified or has the ability to successfully complete forklift certification.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Windows applications.
• Strong work ethics and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfort using basic hand tools and performing physical tasks.
• Experience in general labor, facilities work, or warehouse environments is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage equipment, materials, and required documentation for upcoming installations.
• Collaborates with HVAC installers for loading and unloading materials at VGS premises.
• Deliver parts, tools, equipment, and supplies to field technicians.
• Participates in day-to-day warehouse activities including receipt, distribution, and delivery of materials.
• Accurately process inventory transactions and maintain records in the inventory system.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization and efficiency.
• Perform general facilities maintenance and routine upkeep of pool vehicles.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and report unsafe conditions.
• Represent the company professionally with customers, vendors, and partners.
• Perform other duties as required.
