Responsibilities

• Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles to perform warehouse tasks such as lifting and moving pallets and loads.
• Maintain certifications and follow safety procedures for equipment use.
• Record inventory locations using handheld scanners and vehicle-mounted units.
• Inspect and ensure pallet and case integrity; report substandard items to supervision.
• Place labels on cases per customer specifications and wrap pallets as required.
• Perform stacking, restacking, wrapping, and removal of dividers according to requirements.
• Assist with housekeeping and general duties to support plant operations.

We need you to help us provide top notch service by operating Powered Industrial Vehicles to perform warehouse duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive and use Powered Industrial Vehicles to perform job which can typically include forklift and power jack.
• Maintain certifications to use powered equipment through safe work practices and following of procedures.
• Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, following appropriate operating procedures and requesting repairs.
• Use hand-held scanner and vehicle mounted units to maintain accurate inventory control through proper recording of locations of pallets and/or cases.
• Monitor condition of cases and integrity of pallets. Report substandard or out-of-specification items to Supervision.
• Place labels on cases or loads in accordance with customer specifications.
• Process inventory by stacking, un-stacking, restacking, wrapping, and unwrapping pallets and cases of product according to customer specifications.
• Insert or remove dividers between cases as instructed.
• Complete general housekeeping that includes sweeping and emptying garbage
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Communicate positively and effectively within a Team environment.
• Meet attendance requirements of the position.
• Stretch wrap pallets using either manually or using a powered machine
• Safely perform job duties by maintaining a safe working environment, following safety rules and regulations, being aware of surroundings, not using machines unless trained and other techniques.
• Support assigned duties of the plant supervision to assist in the operations of the facility.
• Other duties to be assigned as business necessitates

Job Qualifications - Education and Experience:

• Prior warehouse/distribution experience desired
• Prior use of forklift and other motorized equipment preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Use strong math skills to count and multiply accurately.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly stand and walk for 8 or more hours in a day.
• Effectively handle lifting, pushing, pulling up to 60 pounds frequently
• Frequently bend, twist, stoop, grip, climb or balance, and reach with hands and arms.
