As a Warehouse Worker II at Petco, you'll help keep products moving through our Distribution Center and on their way to Petco stores and customers. Depending on your home department, you could work in receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, eCommerce or shipping, using warehouse equipment and RF scanning technology to get the job done accurately and safely.
This is a direct-hire, full-time position—not a seasonal job. We're looking for people who want the opportunity to stay, grow and build their future with Petco.
You’ll have a home department, but one of the things that makes this role different is the opportunity to learn different parts of our operation. Partners may be cross-trained and help in other departments based on business needs, giving you the chance to build skills that can transfer throughout the DC.
- Receive, move, put away and replenish merchandise throughout the DC.
- Pick and prepare products for Petco stores or eCommerce customers.
- Prepare and move merchandise for shipping.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, order pickers and electric pallet jacks through high-rack aisles.
- Use RF scanners to scan, locate and track merchandise.
- Lift, carry and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
- Help keep products moving accurately and efficiently between departments.
- Keep your work area clean, organized and safe.
- Follow established safety procedures and look out for yourself and the partners working around you.
This is active, hands-on work. You'll be on your feet and moving throughout your shift, regularly picking, bending, reaching, carrying and lifting merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
You'll also operate warehouse equipment, so safety, awareness and accuracy matter. You'll wear required PPE, use designated safety cutting tools and follow established safety procedures while looking out for yourself and the partners working around you.
The work can be repetitive, and you'll spend your day in a warehouse environment that may be hot, cold, dusty and noisy. You'll also need to be comfortable adapting when priorities change and helping in other areas of the DC when needed.

Under our Step Progression Program, you will qualify for milestone base pay increases at:
- 2 Months
- 6 Months
- Weekday Nights:Earn an extra+$1.25 / hourfor eligible night shifts worked Monday through Thursday.
- Weekend Operations: Earn an extra +$2.00 / hour for eligible shifts worked over the weekend.
