Job summary

Resource Area for Teaching (RAFT) is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate for temporary/on-call work in San Jose, CA. The role involves driving RAFT vehicles for pickups, loading and sorting inventory, and operating warehouse equipment to move materials for education programs.

The candidate should have a California driver’s license, forklift certification or ability to obtain one, and prior warehouse/truck driving experience. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work independently is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license with clean DMV record.
• Forklift certification or ability to complete forklift training.
• Previous warehouse and/or truck-driving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Box truck driving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive RAFT vehicles for material pickups and inventory movement.
• Load, unload, receive, sort, stage, and organize inventory.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, and other warehouse equipment.
• Coordinate material pickups with donors and community partners.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Provide minor facilities support as needed.
• Follow warehouse procedures and health and safety requirements.
