Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies seeks a Warehouse/Driver in Columbus, OH to support our Service Center with timely order fulfillment and customer service. You will handle deliveries, stock maintenance, and order processing while providing quality interaction with customers.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience, basic data entry, and a valid driver’s license. We value reliability, teamwork, and the ability to learn our distribution products and systems quickly.

Qualifications

• 1+ yr+ proven customer service / warehouse experience, ideally in a distribution or parts counter environment
• Basic computer skills, accurate data entry skills, math & mechanical aptitude, basic reading skills
• Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR)
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend and regular lifting of 50 lbs. or more
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Knowledge of industrial distribution products
• Warehouse experience

• Desire and ability to quickly learn new processes and systems
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver orders, ship and/or receive materials, and maintain stock areas and inventory
• Use strong customer service skills when interacting with customers at the Service Center and while delivering orders
• Partner with Service Center operations to provide first class service and meet monthly sales goals
• Receive and verify incoming materials, maintain stock areas, prepare sales orders, pick up and deliver orders
• Work from a daily schedule, work orders, verbal and written instructions
• Operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver orders, equipment, and mail; arrange efficient routes
• Assist in counter and telephone sales, order pulling, customer calls as needed
• Maintain clean driving record
