Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Warehouse Worker/Driver I to receive, store and distribute supplies to schools and other district locations. Under supervision, you will inspect equipment, maintain the warehouse, and assist in inventory counts while handling deliveries with trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

The role includes occasional relocations of district property and providing customer service to schools and the public.

Qualifications

• Education: Equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Experience: One year of responsible experience driving a delivery route.
• Experience: One year of general warehousing, stock, or inventory control experience; forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks and equipment; notify supervisor of needed repairs.
• Maintain vehicles and warehouse in clean, safe condition.
• Receive, store, and distribute supplies to district sites.
• Operate a truck to deliver products and assist in relocations as needed.
• Assist in inventory counting and documentation.
• Provide customer service to schools and public.
