Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!Responsible for operating a Company vehicle to deliver products to customers and performing warehouse activities including parts pulling, staging, and loading/stocking of trucks.Pay Rate $18.00 an hourEssential Job DutiesReceives labels from the supervisor for parts (may include PBE product) to be pulled for the assigned route.Pulls parts and/or PBE products from the appropriate bins and delivers them to the staging area for loading.Operates a forklift or order selector to transport parts in and about the warehouse.Loads truck or company vehicle according to the delivery schedule and performs a final check-off of parts loaded.Sorts and places parts and supplies on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence.Respond to customer counter sales immediately by receiving orders, pulling products and loading them into the customer vehicle.Verifies in-stock position on product for inside sales staff.Drives a company box truck or company vehicle to deliver salvage parts and/or PBE products to customer locations.Physically loads truck or company vehicle at the branch and verifies the condition of the truck or company vehicle, manifest and other paperwork associated with deliveries to be made.Drives to the delivery destination and physically unloads truck or company vehicle and verifies parts unloaded. Picks up returned parts and/or PBE products and collects customer payments as necessary.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Basic QualificationsEducation & Experience6+ months of related warehouse experience.Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.Must qualify for Corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance.Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must comply with state and local mandated requirements as well as Department of Transportation (“DOT”) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (“FMCSA”) regulations.Preferred QualificationsHigh school graduate or GED equivalent. Forklift certification/experience and knowledge of RF scanners are helpful.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Basic computer skills.Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.Decisions generally affect one’s own job or assigned functional area.Results are defined and existing practices are used as guidelines for how to complete work activities; works closely with supervisor/manager who provides broad guidance and overall direction.Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.Essential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive a vehicle most of the time.Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods (up to 12 hours at a time); use hands to operate machinery.May need to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.Frequent exposure to contaminants such as fuel or exhaust.
