Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is seeking a Driver Check-In to receive, store and distribute BEK products, ensuring safe handling and accurate documentation of inbound shipments at our Texas operation.

The role requires forklift/ pallet jack experience, adherence to safety guidelines, basic math, PC skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse. Shift schedule includes Thursday off and weekend hours; pay is $21.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of returns experience preferred
• Must have 6 months of experience in warehouse
• Must have experience in one of the following: pallet jack, standup forklift
• Knowledge of the food industry helpful
• Ability to strictly adhere to safety guidelines
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to use a PC and learn relevant internal applications
• Willingness to work in varying climate conditions and shifts
• Solid interpersonal skills

• Organize and prepare returned products for timely and efficient storage to ensure availability of BEK products, material and equipment.
• Review paperwork and perform appropriate documentation of products to ensure quantities match shipments.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Position Summary and Responsibilities:

Friday 10am-7pm

Saturday 7am-4pm

Sunday off

Pay: $21.80 per hour

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
• Must be able to work at a height distance while using a lift (cannot be scared of heights)
• Able to read product lists and packages
• Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to handle product weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to repetitively lift
• Ability to learn to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs
• Must be able to work in different warehouse temperature zones.
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery horns)
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
