C&S Wholesale Grocers is looking for a dedicated custodian/janitor to join our first shift in North East, MD. You will clean and sanitize the warehouse, offices, break areas, and restrooms, while maintaining floors and general housekeeping. The role supports safe operations and requires standing, bending, and lifting up to 60 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
