Job summary

TIC is seeking an on-site Warehouse Associate to manage daily shipments, packing, loading/unloading, and inventory control on construction-site premises. You will inspect items for damage, prepare invoices, and ensure accurate documentation. Role requires safety compliance and ability to pass drug and background checks.

Work may involve forklift operation and varying shifts, with exposure to outdoor conditions on a construction site. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with management and supervision.
• Proficient in safe use of electrical, hand, power, layout and measurement tools.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug testing, fit-for-duty medical, and background checks.
• Observe and comply with safety and project rules.

Responsibilities

• Selects and prepares daily shipments including orders, packaging, and freight/invoice paperwork.
• Palletizes and wraps skids; delivers to shipping area or designated disciplines.
• Assists in loading trucks and unloading received items.
• Inspects items for damage or shortages; identifies mis-shipments.
• Packs, unpacks, and labels stock items with proper identification.
• Performs onsite warehouse inventories, restocking, and backorder filling.
• Resolves inventory discrepancies and documents shortages.
• Ensures shipping/receiving documents are accurate and timely.
• May operate forklift or other equipment as needed.

Job description

Perform onsite Material care, custody and control functions in support of construction field activities. Carry out day to day activities of the warehouse department, which can include shipping and receiving or products and materials, issuing tools, documentation and inventory control

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Selects and prepares daily shipments which may includes pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers
• Palletizes and wraps skids and delivers completed orders and packages to designated shipping area and/or deliver to disciplines
• Assists in loading trucks as necessary and unloads received items from trailers
• Examines and inspects items for damage and defects; identifies incorrect/short shipped items
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification labels and stickers
• Perform onsite Warehouse inventories, maintenance and restocking, fill backorders and product bins
• May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shorts
• Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time
• May operate forklift and other equipment – stand-up lift, sit-down lift, propane, scissor, etc

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit-for-duty medical, and background check
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required

Work Setting & Job Requirements

• The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
• Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions
• Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required
• May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
• Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment
• May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site
• Must have required tools
• Must pass Fit For Duty Testing
• U.S. Driver's License may be required
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing
