Job summary

Kingspan Insulation in Winchester, VA is seeking an Inventory Clerk to support manufacturing warehouses. You will maintain accurate inventory counts, perform SAP transactions, and coordinate with carriers for inbound deliveries while safely operating a lift truck.

The role requires at least one year of inventory experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; at least 1 year of inventory experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; ideally excellent Excel skills.
• SAP highly desired; similar software experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Manages customer returns and provides planning feedback to Planning and Production teams.

Essential Duties

Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment.
• Accurate Inventories all products on a routine (monthly/weekly) basis.
• Performs SAP transactions, investigates errors, submits findings and necessary changes, generates corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Performs any adjustments to reconcile inventory variance.
• Proficient in operating lift truck to move, consolidate, load, or unload materials as required.
• Performs resin and gas unloads from railcars/tankers.
• Coordinates with carriers for incoming deliveries of pallets, tape, cores, housewrap master rolls.
• Preps and coordinates purchase for resale items ready for shipment.
• Completes daily readings on Silo/gas tanks, railcar inventory and roof inspection.
• Receives MIGO (inventory and chemical transfer for production access) and matches receipt to PO.
• Assists LTO’s on advanced RF scan gun and monitors RF transactions or other computer problems.
• Assists with on the job/ direct training of operators.
• Manage customer returns ensuring prompt return to inventory.
• Provides needed feedback, planning suggestions and improvements to the Planning and Production teams.
• Responds to and reports any near miss, injury, accident or property damage to Safety Lead and Human Resources. Be able to start the investigation and paperwork.
• Be able to lead Warehouse meeting and Safety Toolbox Talks.
• Driving continuous improvement & efficiency with the warehouse.
• Other tasks and duties as needed.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must have at least one (1) year of inventory experience in manufacturing, warehouse or similar job/environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and ability.

Must Have

• Experience with business computer applications (Microsoft Office). Ideally excellent working knowledge of excel.
• SAP highly desired, will consider similar software experience.
• Work scheduled shift and overtime as needed.
• Effective communication skills, effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
