Job summary

LaVaquita is seeking a warehouse associate to perform various stocking, picking, packing, and shipping tasks in a Houston-area facility. You will read orders and schedules to move items between receiving, storage, and shipping areas, using manual or powered equipment where permitted.

The role requires teamwork, basic math, and clear communication to maintain accurate inventory and safe operations in a cooler/refrigerated environment as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years of warehouse/distribution experience.
• Certification may be required for forklift or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, store, move, and distribute items within a warehouse.
• Unload/load trucks, pallets, and cases.
• Read production schedules, orders, and requisitions to determine items to move.
• Convey materials to storage or other designated areas by hand or hand truck.
• Record received and shipped items and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Job description

Perform various warehouse and inventory tasks. Receive, process, store, move, and distribute items (products, materials, ingredients, equipment, supplies, etc.) within a warehouse or cooler/refrigerated environment. Unload and load trucks, truck trailers , cases, pallets , stacks, etc. Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand , hand truck, or electric hand truck. Record received and shipped items . Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Work within clearly defined processes and tasks.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years of warehouse, distribution, production , or related experience
• Certification and/or License - may require forklift , walk behind jack , or other related work certifications
