Job summary

United Distributors Group in Bessemer, AL is seeking a Conveyable Loader to quickly load cases onto pallets, read labels, and prepare shipments for truck loading. You will move at a fast pace, identify routes, and follow company policies to ensure a safe and secure workplace.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to operate pallet jack and forklift, and proficiency with our warehouse management system to ensure accurate inventory and routing while maintaining productivity and safety

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Six months of experience in a similar position strongly preferred.
• Experience operating an electric pallet jack, forklift, and other power equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read route numbers and truck numbers to ensure the correct truck is being loaded.
• Accurately use the Company’s Warehouse management system to make sure all cases are accounted for on the manifest.
• Ensure all loads are properly stacked, secured, and stable.
• Identify damages and safely clean up spills.
• Operate a hand truck and operate a motorized electric pallet jack.
• Safely operate the conveyor line and properly shut it down in case of emergency.
• Keep appropriate records to guarantee inventory control, rotation of stock, and security are maintained.
• Assist with physical inventories as required.
• Assist in other doors or areas when necessary or assigned.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Report in writing any safety or mechanical problems with the power equipment.
• Conduct operations and maintain the facility in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the Warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Conveyable Loader position requires an associate to load cases onto a pallet, remove cases from the conveyors, and palletize them to load onto the truck. Conveyable loaders must be able to move at a fast pace, read labels, and identify routes while handling cases without breaking them. He or she meets standard productivity goals daily and appropriately handles all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure workplace. Specific duties and responsibilities will be assigned according to the assigned workstation.
