Job summary

Kearfott Corporation is seeking a warehouse clerk at our Brownsville, TX facility for a temporary six-month assignment, onsite. You will handle receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping goods while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of warehouse experience; forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED/equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of prior warehouse experience or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required, routinely lifting up to 50lbs with periods of prolongedstanding

Responsibilities

• Accept incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing lists
• Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and report issues to the supervisor
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records in warehouse management systems ERP software
• Pick, pack, and label outbound orders accurately, following packaging standards
• Arrange and store products to maximize space and efficiency
• Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and compliant with safety protocols
• Safely operate material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
• Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions
• Collaborate with other departments, carriers, and vendors to ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods
• Communicate shipping updates, delays, or issues to relevant parties
• Follow safety procedures, participate in training, and report hazards
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment

The warehouse clerk will handle receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping goods, while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring safe, efficient warehouse operations. This position is temporary, with an initial assignment of at least six months . The assignment may be extended based on business needs.
