Reports To

Distribution Center Supervisor or Operations Manager

Position Overview

Hourly position that combines clerical and warehouse duties. Requires continuous lifting up to 50 pounds for the full shift (8–10 hours).

Position Purpose

Maintain warehouse documentation and generate reports for incoming and outgoing merchandise shipments to and from distribution centers and stores. Ensure timely, cost‑effective transport and maintain accuracy of the Warehouse Management System.

Essential Job Functions

• Efficiently create complex documents and/or reports using spreadsheet software.
• Type correspondence and/or documents using Microsoft and other warehouse software.
• Operate material‑handling equipment, including pallet jacks and stand‑up lifts.
• Maintain established productivity standards.
• Continuously lift merchandise up to 50 pounds daily for the entire shift.
• Use voice‑activated computer headset to select merchandise.
• Use hand‑held RF devices to scan merchandise barcodes.
• Conduct basic math computations, with or without a calculator.
• Efficiently enter data via 10‑key by touch.
• Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all contacts inside and outside the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work in one of the following departments in a clerical capacity: Shipping, Receiving, e‑commerce or other DC departments.
• Set up and maintain documentation processes for daily outbound deliveries and inbound receiving logs, verifying merchandise matches purchase orders.
• Complete damaged merchandise and discrepancy paperwork and prepare damaged merchandise for transfer to RTV.
• Maintain the Warehouse Management System and use it to research and identify product numbers, obtain SKU numbers and locate merchandise within the warehouse.
• Observe and promote established safety procedures and maintain a clean warehouse environment.
• Assist in quarterly and annual inventories.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Supervision

General instruction is provided on some tasks; work is periodically checked upon completion. Non‑routine tasks may be assigned that can last from one to several days without direct supervisory direction. Although the position generally does not involve supervising other employees, management may delegate additional responsibilities to provide functional guidance to others on occasion.

Education & Experience

Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Basic math proficiency and working knowledge of computer fundamentals are required. Six months to one year of prior clerical experience preferred, including 10‑key by touch and basic office support duties.

Work Environment

Work performed primarily in an office environment with occasional exposure to a warehouse setting. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes and noise is common. Work is almost exclusively performed indoors in one location. Minor injury risk exists due to warehouse conditions.
