Job summary

Saputo, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Logistics Clerk to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, work with carriers, and support inventory control at our Wisconsin facility. You will generate load documents, monitor schedules, and ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (2-year degree preferred) and 2 years in a lead warehouse role. SAP/WMS experience is a plus; strong math, organization, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; 2-year degree preferred in supply chain or inventory control.
  • Two years in a lead warehouse role in a warehouse/ logistics environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets; knowledge of WMS/SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule inbound and outbound appointments based on load capacity and shipment complexity.
  • Communicate with carriers on scheduling, misses, reschedules, and delays.
  • Assist with inventory control activities and generate required documents (BOL, COAs, pack lists).
  • Seal outbound shipments and document seals; ensure proper load documentation.
  • Review past-due inbound/outbound reports and follow up with transport/CS/planning as needed.
  • Follow GMP, food safety, and regulatory requirements; report hazards to management.

Ready to bring your best?How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:Schedule all inbound and outbound appointments, based on load capacity for the given day and shipment complexity. Populate the schedule with required information and accurate PO/Order references.Complete product allocations as needed and/or based on requests from other departments.Communicate with internal transportation and carriers on any scheduling misses, rescheduling requests and/or delays. Provide appointment details, directions and appropriate load information as directed.Check in/out drivers and ensure that all entering and leaving the facility premises are aware of procedure to be followed and have proper load documentation.Assist with inventory control activities as needed.Work directly with carriers, internal transportation, quality, supply planning and customer service to ship orders in full based on schedules and customer expectations.Provide customers and carriers with all required documents, including generating Bill of Lading, COAs, pack lists, etc.Seal all outbound shipments with appropriate type of seal, document seal number and list out any additional stops with seals provided to the carrier.Ensure all security policies and procedures are being followed.On a daily basis, review and provide updates on past due inbound and outbound reports, address past due orders by following up with transportation, carriers, customer service and/or planning.Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs and regulatory requirements.Promptly report all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to management team.Attend and participate in all required training, shift meetings and committees.Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have The Following Experience, Skills, and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Preferred, 2-year degree in supply chain management or inventory control management.Two-years in a lead warehouse role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution center environment.Excellent computer skills with advanced experience with word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized inventory control software programs (WMS), SAP a plus.Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer orders, inventory reports, operating procedures to ensure documents are audited and accurate. Ability to generate reports and business correspondence.Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Are highly organized and efficient.Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.Must have excellent mathematical skills.Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.Position Physical RequirementsAbility to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures.Good visual acuity with the ability to distinguish colors. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Fine manipulation and hand dexterity, including ability to grip and squeeze; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and armsWear required personal protective equipment (PPE), to include bump cap, hearing, and eye protection.
