Job summary

Best Cheer Stone (BCS) is seeking a motivated Warehouse Clerk to join our San Diego team. You will handle, inspect, and ship stone slabs and prefab materials, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely delivery in daily warehouse operations.

You will also assist sales representatives and customers in viewing and selecting materials, and coordinate with drivers to keep shipments on schedule. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, basic computer skills, and willingness

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
• Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• 1-2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in stone/cabinet industry.
• Basic computer skills and attention to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload stone slabs and prefab materials safely.
• Assist customers in viewing and selecting materials in the warehouse.
• Operate forklifts and move large orders as required.
• Inspect received and shipped orders for damage or errors.
• Pull, pack, and ship orders with accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
• Follow safety procedures and other duties as needed.

Join Our Team as a Warehouse Clerk - Best Cheer Stone

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to join our team. This position involves a variety of responsibilities related to the handling, inspection, and shipping of stone slabs and other products. Adequate training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently handle the loading and unloading of stone slabs and prefab materials.
• Customer Assistance: Assist sales representatives and customers in viewing and selecting materials within the warehouse.
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other machinery required for the transportation of large orders and heavy products.
• Order Inspection: Thoroughly inspect incoming and outgoing orders, checking for damage, defective parts, and missing items.
• Order Fulfillment: Pull, pack, and ship orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and efficiency within the warehouse to create a safe and organized working environment.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines to ensure a secure workplace for all team members.
• Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as deemed necessary for the smooth functioning of warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
• Sensory Skills: Good hearing, vision, and language skills required to operate machinery.
• Availability: Open to working Monday - Friday for 40 hours or more per week.
• Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Technical Skills: Computer literate.
• Communication: Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish, is a plus.
• Experience: 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferably in the Stone & Cabinet industry.
• Certification: Sit-down forklift certification preferred.
