Job description

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI, on Day Shift. The position is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Land 'N' Sea Distributing is a full–service, wholesale‑only distributor serving the Marine and RV industries for over 50 years. With thousands of parts and accessories available from warehouses nationwide, Land 'N' Sea prides itself on fast, efficient delivery throughout the US and Canada, and serves over 60 additional countries worldwide.

Essential Functions

• Operate forklift or hand truck to move, convey, or hoist equipment and parts throughout the warehouse and work areas.
• Comply with all quality standards and policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning equipment and performing safety inspections.

Shipping

• Accurately pick, pack, and ship various sized parts to support quick turnaround of orders.
• Fill orders by removing the correct parts from shelves, identifying part numbers, and ensuring the proper quantity.
• Determine the method of shipment and pack accordingly.
• Count, weigh, measure, or examine packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications.

Receiving

• Receive and unpack merchandise and supplies and verify accuracy of deliveries.
• Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
• Confirm proper location of merchandise.
• Ensure production area organization and cleanliness.
• Stock shelves by placing material in appropriate locations.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge obtained through high school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable attendance and strong team player.
• Prior forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
• Basic computer skills helpful.
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.

Working Conditions

Employees frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance, and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp, and move a variety of materials. Walkways are concrete and/or metal grating. Employees must lift or move up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently. The warehouse can be hot, cold, and dusty. Exposure to high or precarious places is possible. Safety and ergonomics are emphasized.

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $16.00 to $21.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, business needs, and geographic location.
