Job summary

Sysco Alaska is seeking a Warehouse Clerk to support nightly warehouse operations in Anchorage. You will run essential reports, inspect loads, and ensure accurate palletization of special orders. This role requires basic computer proficiency and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds during an eight-hour shift.

The position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork while maintaining productive relations with drivers and supervisors. This is a full-time role with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1-year warehouse experience preferred.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Run reports for the night’s workload and verify special instructions and orders.
• Inspect loads and confirm correct pallets and weights on the dock.
• Validate that special order items are on the correct pallets and check catch weight variations.
• Review new accounts for deliveries and gather all paperwork for the Manager.
• Fill out the checker audit spreadsheet and research missing products as needed.

Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors**RESPONSIBILITIES*** Run reports necessary for the night's workload (Special instructions, Special Orders Item, Handstack Report).* Examine all double-check customers and have the loads reserved.* Inspect loads that are designated on the special instructions report. (If waiting on pallets, spot check the pallets that are already located on the loading dock)* Verify that the special order items are selected and placed on the correct pallet.* Validate that the weights are correct on the catch weight variation report.* Check any reshipped orders if necessary.* Review any new accounts that are being delivered.* Gather all paperwork from the course on the night and place it in the Manager's mailbox.* Fill out the checker audit spreadsheet to track work for the night.* Research product that could not be found via a short chaser (warehouse out).* Perform additional duties as assigned.**QUALIFICATIONS****Education*** High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.**Experience*** 1-year prior warehouse experience preferred.**Professional Skills*** Computer skills with a working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.* Employee must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop and squat throughout an eight-hour shift.
