Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse, Inc. is seeking a Day Warehouse Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across our warehouse facilities.

You will ensure floors, equipment, and storage areas are clean, organized, and free of debris to support a safe, hygienic work environment for staff. Responsibilities include sweeping, trash handling, restroom service, equipment cleaning, and using cleaning solutions per specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash, consolidate trash for weekly pickup.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean walls, racks, and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents or acids per specifications.
• Clean and restore building interiors using cleaning equipment.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Monitor building security by locking doors after hours.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Notify managers about major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders for events.
• Must be experienced or able to get certified in operating a Rider Jack.
