Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Port Deposit, MD is hiring a Material Handler / Warehouse Forklift Operator. Pay is $21.50 per hour with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package. The first shift runs Thursday–Saturday 6:00 am–6:00 pm and every other Wednesday 6:00 am–6:00 pm.

Expect clean, well-run facilities and opportunities for advancement. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a forklift license; 1+ year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand long periods.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work various shifts.
• Detail oriented with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Follow performance guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
