Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Warehouse Associate to prepare orders, organize storage, and manage inventory. You will operate forklifts and other equipment, secure loads, and maintain logs while following safety protocols.

The role requires physical, hands-on work and the ability to work in a team. Overtime/weekend work may be required; a valid driver's license is preferred and prior crane rigging experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with clean record; CDL helpful but not required.
  • 2 years crane rigging experience preferred.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read logs and records in English.
  • Ability to safely use hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders for warehouse storage and organize the warehouse per specs.
  • Move, stock, scan, secure, and record inventory; use forklifts/equipment.
  • Secure loads on trailers and perform inventory control.
  • Perform custodial and/or detailing tasks as needed at some locations.
  • Adhere to safety practices and work in a team-focused environment.

Warehouse Associate (West Worth)

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Associate will assist in preparing orders for warehouse storage and organizing the warehouse per company or customer specifications for received orders. Will move, stock, scan, secure, and record inventory as needed. Will use hand and power tools, and powered equipment related to the storage or movement of items. Warehouse Associates at some locations will additionally perform custodial and/or detailing tasks.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Fuel diesel trucks arriving to the warehouse; keep appropriate logs for fuel dispensing.
  • Move or re-position trucks as needed upon return to the warehouse.
  • Wash/clean, shine, and/or detail tractors, trailers, forklifts, and company vehicles.
  • Secure the facility and log incoming and outgoing movement of personnel.
  • Assist in the construction and assembly of crates and custom storage containers using pneumatic hand tools.
  • Adhere to safety practices with respect to self and others.
  • Housekeeping and custodial duties for the warehouse, includes but is not limited to: sweeping, empty garbage cans, cleaning bathrooms and break room areas.
  • Move machinery/equipment with various-sized forklifts, pallet jacks or other powered equipment as necessary for optimizing safety and organization.
  • Verify incoming equipment or items for storage. Offload incoming equipment, inspect for damage, complete all related paperwork or logs.
  • Retrieve stored machinery & equipment for load out on contract trailers or onto company vehicles.
  • Tie down, strap and secure loads on company trailers.
  • Perform inventory and inventory control functions.
  • Maintain equipment/tool inventory in designated areas.
  • Assist riggers and field personnel as needed with respect to equipment, tools and other needs.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. CDL helpful but not required.
  • 2 years of crane rigging experience preferred.
  • NCCCO Certification preferred.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Good use of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words; must be able to keep legible records and logs, in English.
  • Basic reading and mathematical calculations, including the use of multiplication, division, fractions, or decimals.
  • Ability to safely use hand, power, and pneumatic tools, and read tape measure.
  • Ability to problem-solve, work independently, and be self-motivated.
  • Knowledgeable in equipment operation, including manual transmissions, or pneumatic or hydraulic tools and equipment.
  • Have a pleasant and customer-oriented demeanor and ability to build positive work relationships.
  • Overtime/weekend work is sometimes required of this position.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This is very physical, hands-on work. A Warehouse Worker must be able to perform General Physical Activities — activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling or moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work off the ground at varying heights and not be affected by moving machinery or parts. Work may vary between indoor, climate-controlled, or normal warehouse environment and non-temperature-controlled environment and/or outdoors in all types of weather, and over uneven ground or terrain.
