Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Greencastle, PA to support our supply chain operations with weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth. In this role you will package, load/unload, and perform picking and packing while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse.

Requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent, 6 months of warehouse experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and forklift certification; we offer training, benefits, and 401(k)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Operate powered industrial truck(s): stand-up/sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.
• May operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment; intermediate preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification.
• Ability to read and do basic mathematics in English for safety and instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Input data into the WMS system.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized with time management.
• Detail oriented with follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers. Ensure all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures. Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping. Perform picking and packing duties. Check for evidence of product or container damage.
• Perform the assigned tasks as described in location policies and procedures standards to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions.
• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
• Participate in workgroup and other team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
