Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is looking for a Warehouse Associate at their Jasper, TN location. Job description

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support distribution operations at its Jasper, TN site.

Job Details

Base Pay: $17.25 per hour plus a 0.62 cent shift differential.

Shift: 4th shift – Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (plus two weekday shifts 7:00 AM–3:00 PM).

Benefits: Available from day 1, including health, dental, and vision insurance; 80 hours vacation; on‑demand pay program.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the following aspects of warehouse operation: crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks.
• Load loose cartons into trucks to ensure stability during shipment.
• Collect wood product for the set‑up and construction of crates.
• Build crates from wooden materials around cartons of product in preparation for shipment by flatbeds.
• Repair or reseal damaged cartons, or rebox product when necessary.
• Consolidate all accessory and siding products on storage racks when needed.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment.
• Perform warehouse maintenance and housekeeping.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor, if necessary.
• Perform basic duties of Warehouse Associate 2 at times, based upon ability and experience.
• Maintain an accurate time card daily and calculate on a weekly basis.
• Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary; mechanical aptitude helpful.
• Basic knowledge of shipping process helpful.
• Must have good eye/hand coordination, excellent manual dexterity, and an ability to read and comprehend numbers.
• Ability to lift up to 86 pounds continuously above shoulder height and below the waist; ability to lift 87 to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Must be detail oriented, possess good communication skills, and interact well with others.
• Must be able to separate product by profiling color.

Physical/Other Requirements

• Warehouse environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust.
• Position requires continual lifting, twisting and bending.
• Must be proficient in the use of a claw hammer, pneumatic nail gun, pneumatic bander, and an electric skill saw.
• Must wear or use personal protective equipment as instructed (safety glasses, ear plugs). Must be willing to obtain a license to operate motorized equipment; if applicable, may need to be certified to operate a crane.
• Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals.
• Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions.
