Ryder System, Inc. in Etna, Ohio is hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Associate. The role offers $17.00 per hour and weekly pay, with on-the-job training and a benefits package starting after 30 days.

You will operate powered industrial trucks, handle orders, and support safe, efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities include loading/unloading trailers, scanning accuracy, and collaboration within a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six months of related warehouse experience required.
One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
Operate powered industrial trucks safely and maintain (battery changes, issue recognition).
Ability to read and perform basic maths in English for safety and procedures.
May operate manual/automated equipment such as a packaging line (intermediate).
Powered industrial truck certification required.

Responsibilities

Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning accuracy.
Train dock employees on new procedures and security checks.
Perform picking and packing duties and address scanning issues.
Conduct housekeeping in assigned area and support safety compliance.
Perform material moves with related transactions.
Collaborate in team activities to improve warehouse operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Six months of related warehouse experience required
One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred
Learn to operate powered industrial truck(s), such as: stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc., including how to operate and maintain (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues) intermediate required
May be required to operate manual and/or automated otherwarehouse/manufacturingequipment (such as a packaging line) intermediate preferred
Powered industrial truck certification
Ability to read, do basic mathematics in English for the purpose of safety, work instructions, policies, etc
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Ability to input data into the WMS computer system (s) in use
Work overtime as assigned
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Ability to work independently and as member of a team
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers. Ensure all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures. Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping. Perform picking and packing duties. Check for evidence of product or container damage
Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions
Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required
Participate in workgroup and other team activities for the purpose of self improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions
Perform housekeeping duties for assigned areaPerforms other duties as assigned
