Job summary

IKEA is seeking a warehouse associate for our distribution center in the United States. You will be responsible for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing with a customer-first focus.

The role requires standing, walking, lifting up to 70 lbs, and may involve forklift duties. We offer full-time hours Sunday to Wednesday 4:00pm–2:30am with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within a global retailer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30 kgs ergonomically.
• Fluent in English and local language, both written and spoken.
• Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Reach excellence in the daily running of different parts of the DC Operations by assuming major responsibility for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing with the customer in focus.
• Manage picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing of the goods. Contribute with ideas and inputs to the agreed goals of the action plan in the daily work.
• Effectively unload and handle inbound/outbound goods. Secure merchandise properly to allow for safe movement through the distribution center.
• Contribute to the overall warehouse operations goals setting, drive the implementation of local business plans/projects and analyze existing workload to secure daily volume handling and meet seasonal fluctuation needs.
• Remove and properly document all damages found or caused on inbound/outbound merchandise.
• Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects assigned, where applicable.
