Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate/Relief Driver (CDL w/Hazmat) in Wichita, KS. The role combines warehouse work with local delivery responsibilities using a company truck. Expect teamwork, safety focus, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL and Hazmat/Airbrake certs required.
• Must have one year of Class B driving in the last five years with a clean driving record.
• Or a driving school diploma with at least one year of driving in the last five years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read material safety data sheets (MSDS).
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs, and up to 125+ with assistance.
• Must be able to drive hazardous cargo.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver, and unload gas cylinders and other products to route trucks and customer locations.
• Handle high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders; operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Monitor cylinder quantities and assist with inventory management; receive, check and store materials.
• Follow safety standards for hazardous materials handling and cylinder gases.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document deficiencies.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and resolve service inquiries or complaints.
• Keep the warehouse neat, clean and organized.

As anAmbassador for Airgas, the Service & Delivery Professionaltakes pride inthe safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to our local and regional business partners. Operating from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck, you willmanage the flowof cylinders whilebuilding lasting relationshipswith the customers you visit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Loading and Delivery: Safely load, deliver, and unload gas cylinders and other products onto route trucks and at customer locations.

• Cylinder Handling and Preparation:Manage high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders, including preparing cryogenic vessels for filling. Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.

• Inventory and Inspection: Monitor cylinder quantities and styles and assist with inventory management. Physically receive, check, and store delivered materials in the warehouse.

• Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all government and company standards regarding the safe handling of hazardous materials and cylinder gases.

• Vehicle Maintenance:Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any deficiencies to ensure all safety equipment is in good working order.

• Customer Relations:Maintain positive customer relationships and resolve service inquiries or complaints effectively.

• Facility Upkeep:Ensure the remains warehouse is neat, clean, and orderly.

Are you a MATCH?

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.

• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.

• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.

• Must have one (1) year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.

• In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years.

• Must be at least 21 years or older

• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

• Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
