Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Portland, OR Distribution Center. The role oversees and organizes warehouse operations, ensuring product rotation, condition, inventory, security, and placement are efficiently maintained.

Key duties include opening/closing, verifying loads with tickets, receiving and storing inventory, unloading trailers, building pallets, balancing daily inventory with handheld devices, and supporting month-end counts.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 2+ years warehouse experience.
• Prefer experience with ERP systems like D365.
• Strong attention to inventory accuracy and rotation.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift and move lightweight to medium items.

Utz Quality Foods is currently seeking a Warehouse Associateto join our sales operations team at the Portland, ORDistribution Center. The Warehouse associate oversees and organizes warehouse operations. Key responsibilities include ensuring product rotation, condition, inventory, security, and placement are efficiently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures that warehouse is opened and closed at scheduled times.
• Checks product that Independent Operators and Distributors pick and load, signing load tickets to verify correct inventory.
• Assists with training new warehouse team members.
• Orders inventory. Receives, stores, loads, and ensures all products and materials are accounted for and kept in excellent condition.
• Unloads trailers that arrive at the center and checks trailer loads for accuracy.
• Picks and builds pallets for outbound shipments, ensuring proper stacking and stability.
• Maintains an accurate daily inventory balances.
• Uses a hand-held computer to balance the daily inventory (warehouse inventory, daily orders, extra orders, return to stock, trailer loads).
• Accepts and checks return to stock product and stale and damaged products.
• Places returned cardboard and stale and damaged product on trailers.
• Maintains cleanliness of warehouse, including the restroom(s).
• Keeps warehouse organized including product rotation.
• Uses point of purchase material as needed.
• Assists with month-end inventory counts.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent or 2+ years of relevant experience working in a warehouse preferred.
• Prior experience using an Enterprise Resource System such as D365 is highly preferred.
• Requires organization and attention to details to maintain accurate inventory, records, and rotation of product at the distribution center.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Requires basic math skills.
• Requires independent decision making on inventory needs, especially during promotional activity.
• Ability to drive a forklift and/or use a hand jack may be required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Outlook/Excel.
• Requires use of hands for simple grasping.
• Requires the ability to walk, sit, talk, bend, stand, twist, push, and pull frequently and for long periods.
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, load, and transport light to medium weight products
