Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. in Knoxville is seeking warehouse team members to support high-volume days with a flexible schedule. You will receive and fulfill orders, perform quality checks, and prepare shipments in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and standing for long periods. Training is provided, overtime may be required, and a commitment to safety and attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty.

Schedule Details

• This roleoperateson a flexible schedule based on business volume.Flex workers aremainly usedto support high-volume days, planned PTOcoverageand high call-off periods.Additional available shifts may vary by location and week.
• Candidate will be required to work one mandatory shift per week that is scheduled in advance by the business. Any additional shifts may be selected by candidate (e.g., candidate will have a mandatory shift every Sunday from 7:00pm-4:00am and candidate may determine whether to select additional available shifts that week).
• If an additional shift is accepted, candidates will be expected to work the full scheduled shift and adhere to standard attendance expectations.
• Accepted shifts are worked until operational work is complete and may extend beyond the estimated end time.
• New hiresmay requirecompletionofa 1–3-dayonboardingramp upduringtheir first week or first pay period. Theonboarding schedulewillbe agreed upon during thejob offer process based on site needs and new-hire availability.
• Days and hours per week are flexible based on your availability and business needs but will not exceed 29 hours per average on an ongoing basis.

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Qualifications
