Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Apopka, Florida. The role offers hourly pay of $18.00 with on-the-job training and a path to benefits. Expect to load/unload trailers, operate forklifts, and perform order picking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification.
• Read and perform basic math in English for safety.
• Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Input data into the WMS system.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is completed correctly.
• Train dock employees on new procedures; ensure facility is secure at shift end.
• Perform picking and packing duties; check for damage.
• Perform material moves with associated transactions.
• Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve operations.
• Housekeeping duties for the assigned area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
