Job summary

Yokohama TWS in Akron, OH, is hiring a Warehouse Associate to keep materials moving safely and efficiently in and out of the facility. You’ll operate forklifts, load/unload trucks, pull and package orders, and support inventory and cross-training across teams.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and team collaboration. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with potential overtime; starting pay is $18/hour, with growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, and order pulling.
• Forklift experience—sit-down and stand-up is a plus.
• Comfortable learning and operating different material-handling equipment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow through.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willing to learn, cross-train, and help the team.
• Clear communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and move materials to appropriate locations.
• Pull, prepare, and package orders for shipment.
• Operate shrink-wrap machines, hoists, lifts, barcode scanners, and other equipment.
• Assist with receiving and shipping materials.
• Support inventory and cycle-counting activities.
• Collaborate with other departments and cross-train as needed.
• Follow safety, quality, and service requirements.
