Job summary

Sysco is hiring a Warehouse Associate for the night shift in Norcross, GA. You will handle receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping duties, using forklift, pallet jack, and RF/Voice pick devices to move merchandise efficiently.

Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors# **$19.72/hour**# **Sun-Thu 5:00pm-1:30am or finished, some OT****SUMMARY**Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**The ideal Candidate will have the ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift, ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time; ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements; and ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES*** Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.* Load Merchandise into appropriate truck.* Drop merchandise for \"reserve\" to \"pick\" slots.* Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.* Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.* Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.* Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.* Identify and report slot and put-away problems.* Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.* Performs house keeping duties as assigned.* Perform other duties as assigned.**QUALIFICATIONS****Education*** Preferred qualifications are: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
