Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Maryland is hiring a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, pick, pack and distribute inventory. You will operate and maneuver warehouse equipment in line with safety procedures and ensure accurate handling of material from delivery to storage.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift heavy items, maintain an orderly workspace, and prepare orders for shipment. Weekend or overtime availability may be required to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift and move inventory and use light equipment.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, select, pack and distribute inventory as directed.
• Unload deliveries and identify material; note discrepancies.
• Store product to proper locations and prepare orders for shipment; may perform delivery duties with a light van.

Job Title:(S) Warehouse AssociateOverview:Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.Typical Functions:Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions.Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies.Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required.Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations.May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.Preferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals occupying this position of employment.
