Job summary

IKEA Gruppe is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Maryland to support daily DC operations, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving with a focus on accurate and timely fulfillment.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of related warehouse experience, be able to lift heavy items, and communicate fluently in English. Forklift experience is a plus, and full-time daytime hours are provided with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30kgs ergonomically.
  • Fluent in English and local language, both written and spoken.
  • Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing of goods with the customer in focus.
  • Unload and handle inbound/outbound goods and secure merchandise for safe movement in the DC.
  • Contribute to warehouse operations goals and daily workload planning, adapting to seasonal needs.
  • Document all damages found or caused on inbound/outbound merchandise.
  • Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned.

What you'll be doing day to day

Reach excellence in the daily running of different parts of the DC Operations by assuming major responsibility for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing with the customer in focus.

  • - Manage picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing of the goods. Contribute with ideas and inputs to the agreed goals of the action plan in the daily work.
  • - Effectively unload and handle inbound/outbound goods. Secure merchandise properly to allow for safe movement through the distribution center.
  • - Contribute to the overall warehouse operations goals setting, drive the implementation of local business plans/projects and analyze existing workload to secure daily volume handling and meet seasonal fluctuation needs.
  • - Remove and properly document all damages found or caused on inbound/outbound merchandise.
  • - Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects assigned, where applicable.

The pay rate for this role is: $19.00
