Job summary

ma-co in Memphis, TN is seeking a warehouse associate to perform safe, efficient tasks across loading, unloading, put-away, picking, packing and shipping. You will follow established processes to meet safety, quality and productivity targets while maintaining attendance discipline.

Key responsibilities include operating hand trucks and walkies, assisting in inventory counts, and supporting housekeeping to keep a clean, organized distribution area.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs assigned warehouse functions using established processes and tools, meeting safety, quality, productivity, and attendance targets.
• Functions may include loading, unloading, put-away, picking, packing, replenishing, receiving, auditing, shipping, counting, box-making, etc.
• Operates hand truck, cart, dollies, and walkie to move items within the warehouse or to shipment pickup locations.
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
• Informs Manager or Lead of problems and participates in process improvements.
• Assists in other areas of the Distribution Center as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely performs assigned warehouse functions utilizing established processes, procedures and tools while meeting performance expectations for safety, quality, productivity and attendance.
• Functions may include, but are not limited to loading, unloading, put-away, picking, packing, replenishing, receiving, auditing, shipping, counting product, box-making, etc.
• Operates hand truck, cart, dollies, and walkie to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
• Performs necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
• Informs Manager or Lead of any problems and actively participates in process improvements.
• Assist in other areas of the Distribution Center as assigned.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift/move/push/pull up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical equipment, extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
