Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Clerk in Etna, Ohio to support warehouse operations and maintain accurate stock levels. The role focuses on cycle counts, audits, and collaboration with supervisors and hourly staff to ensure smooth inventory flow.

The position runs on a second shift (Sunday–Thursday, 3:30pm–12:00am) with weekly pay and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. Prior warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, as is familiarity with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• 1+ year forklift operation experience preferred.
• 1+ year MS Office experience (Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Word) preferred.
• Ability to read location, date and product codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Audit inbound and outbound shipments.
• Participate in physical inventories as needed.
• Provide floor support to Supervisors and hourly staff on inventory issues.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain GMPs with emphasis on safety.
• Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay $18.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $27.00 per hour when working overtime
• Additional Pay: $1.00 when assigned to Second Shift
• Schedule: Second Shift Sunday - Thursday 3:30pm - 12:00am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent perferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Depending on location may be required to be equipment certified
• Ability to recognize and read location, date and product codes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
