Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support shipment processing, loading and unloading goods, and on-site delivery within our Sioux Falls facility. You will operate forklifts and hand-pallet equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records and a safe, clean work environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience, remains detail-oriented, and works well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for hands-on training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system.
• Operates forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery for loading, unloading, picking and stocking.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.
• Verify inventory and assist with cycle counts; inspect stock for wear and defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Follow safety policies and encourage others to do the same.
• May adjust carriers or picking methods as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system. Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
• Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, fabricating, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area.
• Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts. Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
• Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
• May perform order layout and make changes to carriers or picking method.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferably, YOU Have

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience
• Forklift experience
