Job summary

Core & Main is hiring for a warehouse associate in St. Louis. The role involves receiving and recording shipment data, matching packing lists, and ensuring accurate stock handling in a fast-paced environment with forklift operation.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inventory verification, cycle counts, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace. Valid driver's license and forklift experience are required; HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, count, and record shipment data into the system.
• Match packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
• Identify incorrect/short, shipped items and notify supervisor.
• Safely operate forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery to load/unload, stock, and transport goods.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area; may operate forklift.
• Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety policies.
• Drive a pickup to collect stock or deliver materials to locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.Record receiving data using a computer.Identify incorrect/short, shipped items and immediately notify supervisor.Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, fabricating, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area. May operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts. Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
