Job description

Job Summary

Handles the receipt, verification, and packaging of goods, ensuring accuracy against shipping records and preparation for distribution.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for order fulfillment activities at the Market Unit Distribution Center, including all functional areas of distribution operations and warehousing. This includes but is not limited to Receiving; Put-away; Replenishment; Customer Order Fulfillment; Dock Activity - Shipping; Inventory Cycle Counting; Sanitation and Maintenance, daily assignments to support these activities, and other duties as determined by supervisory staff.
2. Accurately pick, sort, put away, and stage customer orders according to product code, lot number, and requested quantity.
3. Inspect trucks/containers for temperature and cleanliness, reporting abnormalities to management.
4. Organize the dock and prepare for inbound and outbound shipments.
5. Notate and report discrepancies and damages to the Supervisor following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
6. Check picked orders for accuracy of lot numbers, quantities, and document completion.
7. Pack customer orders in compliance with instructions on the order form or ERP system.
8. Pack completed orders to prevent product loss or damage.
9. Process parcel shipments using Ship Station Meters, palletize, and transfer to carriers based on shipping mode.
10. Create, check, or print Bill of Lading (BOL), packing slips, and stage for shipping or receiving.
11. Verify and compare all identifying information and counts against records.
12. Maintain records of all receiving and shipping documentation.
13. Input receipts into SAP using RF scanning devices and computers.
14. Load and unload trucks as assigned.
