Job summary

84 Lumber Company is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate in Northport, AL to join our distribution team. You will serve as a material handler and forklift operator to build loads for deliveries, maintain a safe and organized warehouse, and support store programs.

Key duties include loading/unloading freight, forklift operation and certification, and communicating delays to management. You will help maintain the store's special order and sales programs; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Must be able to periodically lift up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies.
• Forklift training, certification, and operation.
• Communicating delays or discrepancies with management.
• Maintaining the store’s special order program and other sales programs as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
