Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Commissary Worker to manage warehouse functions in the Louisville area, including receiving stock, processing orders for inmates, and coordinating delivery packaging. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and timely inventory handling.

The position requires physical work, ability to operate standard warehouse equipment, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. Training and PPE are provided as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic math and counting skills required.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Transfers of products and/or merchandise from the warehouse.
• Receives products and merchandise, checks for quality and damage, and stores delivered items.
• Operates equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Performs physical inventory as needed.
• Processes requests for supplies and prepares packages for delivery.
