Job summary

Foundation Building Materials is hiring a Warehouse Associate in California. You will receive, organize, and load materials and provide service to customers entering the warehouse, while maintaining a safe, orderly environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy in product knowledge, packing, and adherence to OSHA standards. The position is full-time with competitive pay and benefits, reporting to the Branch Manager.

Qualifications

• Building supply warehouse experience strongly preferred
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience and/or training

Responsibilities

• Provide service to customers entering the warehouse
• Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services
• Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size
• Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials
• Allocate and move material to its correct place and always ensure an orderly warehouse
• Maintain packing specifications, and make suitable skids/pallets, etc.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements to maintain a safe working environment
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs
• Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
• Occasional operation of forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures
