Job summary

Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture is hiring a Warehouse Associate in San Rafael, CA. The role is full time, non-exempt, hourly, with a wage of $19-22 per hour, DOE.

Responsibilities include serving customers, learning product specs, moving merchandise, loading/unloading, and maintaining showroom and backroom areas. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years in a warehouse are preferred, with forklift training as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 1–3 years warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs on a regular basis.
• Excellent customer service and reliability.
• Strong reading and interpretation of orders and paperwork.
• Forklift training/certification as necessary.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide a best-in-class customer experience for every customer.
• Learn product details including dimensions, weight, assembly, and materials.
• Transport, load, and unload merchandise within warehouse and to customers' cars or delivery trucks.
• Use a computer terminal to look up customer and merchandise information.
• Match product to invoice, packing slip, or bill of lading and ensure orders are paid.
• Assist with showroom changes, tagging merchandise, and maintaining displays and showroom/backroom cleanliness.
• Follow safety procedures and safe lifting methods; reports hazards as needed.
• May travel to customer locations for delivery, assembly, or repair.
