Job summary

Global Industrial Company is seeking candidates for a 2nd shift warehouse position. You will operate a Cherry Picker or Reach Truck to fulfill customer orders, move products, and assemble items for packing and shipping.

The role requires 1 year of warehouse experience, RF scanner proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs while standing and walking for the shift.

Qualifications

• Shift: 2nd shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.
• Experience operating a Reach Truck or Cherry Picker is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience required.
• RF scanner experience required.
• Must be able to read and interpret assembly instructions and drawings.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk continuously.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders using Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast-paced environment.
• Move products safely and efficiently with equipment.
• Use RF scanner to pick correct items for orders.
• Assemble orders from stock and route to packing or shipping.
• Assist Receiving with unloading merchandise as needed.
• Support inventory and returns operations daily.
• Assemble components to build lockers and cabinets.
• Use manual, air and electrical hand tools safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders by operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast paced environment.
• Operates equipment to move product in an efficient and safe manner.
• Uses an RF scanner gun to determine the proper products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for completing customer orders.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, shelves or conveyor belts based on the necessary route for either the packing station or shipping department.
• Assist Receiving Department with unloading new arrival merchandise from trucks when needed.
• Assist inventory and returns department with day to day operation.
• Assemble component parts to build various types of lockers and cabinets.
• Utilize various manual, air and electrical hand tools in an efficient and safe manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Competencies and Skills

• Work Schedule: 2ndShift. This role generally operates on a 3:00PM to 11:30PM schedule.
• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck and/or Cherry Picker required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Warehouse environment required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with material handling equipment required.
• Previous experience utilizing an RF Scanner required.
• Must be proficient in reading and interpreting assembly instructions and drawings to facilitate the assembly process.
• Independently able to life products weighing up to 75 lbs on a continuous basis in a productive environment.
• Able to stand, walk, pull and bend 100% of the day on a continuous basis in a fast-paced environment.
• Reading and comprehension skills.
