Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Montgomery, AL is hiring a Warehouse Associate Driver to deliver products safely and efficiently while performing a range of warehouse tasks.

You will drive routes, coordinate with management, verify deliveries, load/unload, maintain DOT/OSHA certifications, complete shipping docs, inspect trucks, and ensure inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of delivery truck driving experience.
• 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient in computer and inventory systems preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record per company policies.
• Qualify for and remain insurable under company liability insurance.
• Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specified product to various locations by driving short and long distances.
• Coordinate with management to ensure safe and efficient delivery routes.
• Verify with the customer at delivery that the correct product was delivered in good condition.
• Perform loading and unloading of the truck as needed.
• Maintain truck documentation and required certifications (DOT, OSHA).
• Complete shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork as needed.
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections and maintain maintenance records.
• Notify management of safety issues with vehicles.
• Verify, receive, and put away incoming stock; pull/pack/store outgoing orders.
• Assist customers with orders and returns of warranty items and stock items.
• Operate handheld scanners to manage inventory movements.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Warehouse Associate Driver is to deliver product in a safe and timely manner and perform a variety of warehouse tasks efficiently, safely, and accurately to ensure customer service excellence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver specified product to various locations in a safe and efficient manner by driving short and long distances during the day
• Coordinate with management to ensure safe and efficient delivery routes
• Verify with the customer at the time of delivery that the correct product was delivered in satisfactory condition
• Perform loading and unloading of the truck as needed
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
• Ensure all required paperwork, including but not limited to shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork, is accurately completed and in possession
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections
• Maintain truck maintenance records
• Notify management of any safety issues with company vehicles
• Verify, receive, and put away incoming stock
• Pull, pack, stage, and ship outgoing orders and transfers
• Assist customers with orders, as needed
• Assist customers in processing returns of warranty items and stock items
• Operate handheld scanners to receive, move, and track inventory in and out of the facility
• Assist management with inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and physical inventory
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and common areas to ensure an orderly and safe work environment
• Participate in after-hours training classes
• Work overtime as assigned

• Maintain regular, punctual, and reliable physical attendance
