Job summary

The Salvation Army in Honolulu is hiring a Warehouse Associate at our Honolulu Distribution Center with a pay rate of $14 per hour. This entry-level position offers a path to grow within a dedicated team working to support our Adult Rehabilitation Program and the local community.

You will sort, inspect, and route donated items, maintain quality standards, and follow TSA safety policies while coordinating with various production units. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to lead, motivate and mentor teams of warehouse associates.
• Strong communication, leadership, accountability and follow-through skills.
• Ability to differentiate quality of donated items.
• Adaptability to supervising and working in various production units.
• Proven track record hitting production goals.
• COVID-19 vaccination per employer policy or approved exemption on file.

Responsibilities

• Sort product efficiently and properly according to TSA policy.
• Provide Quality Assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
• Identify product correctly and direct to proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and transport materials safely.
• Follow safety measures established by TSA policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed for total program operations.
• Overtime requires supervisor approval, with initials on timecard.
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Administrator.
