Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply seeks a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, and distribute inventory in a fast-paced warehouse in the Baltimore area. You will select, pack, label, and ship orders while maintaining safety standards and a clean working environment.

The role requires the ability to lift/move heavy items, operate warehouse equipment, and perform daily inspections. Occasional delivery responsibilities may be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in warehouse or distribution is a plus.

• Store products in proper locations and pick customer orders; may use light equipment.
• May perform delivery driver duties with a light van to deliver orders.

Job Title

Overview

• Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.

Typical Functions

• Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.


• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers' instructions.


• Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.


• Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies.


• Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required.


• Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations.


• May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.
