Job summary

Bargreen Ellingson is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver to join our Anchorage team. You will deliver customer orders promptly and courteously, perform warehouse tasks, and assist customers at the counter while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stocking, product knowledge updates, and assisting in annual inventories. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, with flexibility for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Load truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
• Unload truck as needed at customer and/or branch locations.
• Drive company vehicle to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner; treat customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Fill customer orders by retrieving material from the warehouse and other locations.
• Check in and put away material, verify quantities and quality of received material; maintain clean aisles and organized storage.
• Provide assistance at counter if needed and help customers with information.
• Continuously update product knowledge and know locations of merchandise.
• Report back orders or discrepancies; perform cycle counts as required.
• Perform vehicle and forklift inspections; schedule maintenance as needed; keep truck clean and presentable.
• Assist in year-end inventories and maintain branch appearance; follow safety rules.

Bargreen Ellingson is looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver to join our Anchorage team! This role provides excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders, makes pick-ups as necessary, and performs general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed. They are expected to perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Load truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
• Unload truck as needed at customer and/or branch locations.
• Drive company vehicle to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures. Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials, and acceptable driving record.
• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Fill customer orders by retrieving material from the warehouse and other locations.
• Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material. Maintain clear aisles and walkways. Ensure material is properly organized.
• Know location of merchandise in warehouse. Keep material organized and put away.
• Provide assistance at counter if needed. Assist customers, ask pertinent questions, provide information they may need.
• Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Know location of merchandise in warehouse.
• Report back orders or discrepancies.
• Perform cycle counts as required following through on discrepancies as needed.
• Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required, schedule routine or repair maintenance as needed. Maintain presentable truck appearance, cleaning as needed.
• Assist in performance of year-end physical inventories.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed.
• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following all safety rules. Inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
• Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, bathrooms, etc.
• Must maintain an insurable driving record.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Valid state driver license with clean driving record.
• Must be 18 years or older
• Successfully pass pre-employment screenings, which includes a background check, drug screen, and DOT medical exam.
• High school diploma or Equivalent
• Flexible work schedule (which may include nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance is necessary with possibility for mandatory overtime.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Desire to succeed in a high growth, fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must complete a DOT physical a minimum of every two years.
• If assigned a vehicle over 10,001 pounds, a DOT Medical Card is required before starting.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Constant use of hand truck to lift, move and place deliveries.
• Must be able to safely tolerate heat or other inclement weather.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material. Apply sound reasoning and logic performing daily tasks. The employee is required to be able to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and/or wire-cutting machine
