Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Warehouse Worker in Plainfield, IN to support shipping and receiving operations. The role runs Monday through Friday with a 6:00am start, focusing on forklift put-away, order selection, and pallet handling while maintaining safety and accuracy.

You will join a team ensuring efficient product flow within our distribution process, abiding by safety policies, and meeting daily productivity targets. This position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months warehouse and/or production experience.
• Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Performs general warehouse duties including forklift put-away, will-call, and receiving.
• Performs housekeeping to keep area safe and clean; report unsafe conditions.
• Conducts daily safety checks of forklift/pallet jack.
• Performs damage checks on received items and coordinates removal as needed.
• Reviews production paperwork and prepares for operations.
• Wears required PPE and meets productivity/accuracy standards.
• Secures equipment and completes required paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Pay: $19.50/hour


• Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am start time

Position Purpose

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Warehouse, Worker, you will support the shipping and/or receiving functions activities within our warehouse.

The Warehouse, Worker performs shipping and/or receiving functions in a timely manner while maintaining inventory and warehouse work areas, observing all safety regulations, and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Performs general warehouse duties as assigned including but not limited to forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, and receiving.


• Performs general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required. Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.


• Performs daily safety check of the assigned forklift/pallet jack in accordance with company policy.


• Performs damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.


• Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist. Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.


• Reviews work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.


• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.


• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.


• Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.


• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications

1 - 2 Years warehouse and / or production work experience.

Prior Reach Truck experience highly preferred (we will be willing to train the right candidate)

OSHA Forklift operator certificate
